Why do some people get all the luck while others never get the breaks they deserve?
A psychologist says he has discovered the answer.
People’s thoughts and behaviour are responsible for much of their good and bad fortune.
Unlucky people are generally more tense than lucky people, and this anxiety disrupts their ability to notice the unexpected. As a result, they miss opportunities because they are too focused on looking for something else.
They go to parties intent on finding their perfect partner and so miss opportunities to make good friends.
They look through newspapers determined to find certain types of job advertisements and miss other types of jobs.
Lucky people are more relaxed and open, and therefore see what is there rather than just what they are looking for.
They are skilled at creating and noticing chance opportunities, make lucky decisions by listening to their intuition, create self-fulfilling prophesies via positive expectations and adopt a resilient attitude that transforms bad luck into good.
when i think about it Luck is a just a form of superstition which is interpreted differently by different individuals.
Luck is very often a self-fulfilling prophecy .......Have a Happy and Lucky life.

Just stopped to say hello. thank you for stopping by my blog and do come again. I think in a way we create our own destiny with our actions.luck or no luck.Nice post.
I was once told, the harder you work, the luckier you are...there's some great points you make here...thank you
lucky me [:P]
I have thought the same thing b4. Lukc is not superstition. In ancient times(even now), people who meditate will succeed more, that doesnt mean they are lucky, that means they are more relaxed and look into reality as you said. gud post :-)
the meditation i mentioned above is the form of worhipping GOD which lead to the belief that praying GOD gives luck. Generally true bhaktimaans are more calm and composed.
to add something to this
when men succeed they say its their skill
when women succeed they say its luck
when men fail they say there is somethign wrong with system
when women fail they blame themselves
itha naan sollala paa.. engayo padichathu :D
Luck is not something superstitious...I think it all lies in the mindset of a person and how determined they are...If a person is optimistic...then they have more chances of succeeding in life when compared to a person who has a low self-esteem and pessimistic...
I think there is no formula for luck. being cool or relaxed is a result of being lucky and not a cause to get lucky.
u just gotta be lucky enough to say "nothing is life is luck".
That was a good point there.
Wow..that was really interesting.
yemma nalla thaana irundha thideernu thathuvam solla aarambichuta...anyways nice one :-)

Interesting thoughts :)
I believe that hard work is the only way one can get lucky...
good point...and good luck to u...
I think there is no question of luck anywhere.. may be I once thought so.. but now I think that what u get is always a direct consequence of ur action... ofcourse sometimes it doesnt work out that way.. u do not get what u have worked hard for.. but then that occures very rarely... and that where u need luck.. but most of the time one can rely on just ones action than on luck.. if u r blaming ur luck all the time.. then its time to work hard I guess..
Hmm...Luck - a self-fulfilling prophesy..nice way of putting it! :)
enna atchu aalaye konom... :-)
