Ravi demanded, you must give me 10$ every day so I can see this film tomorrow. His mother was horrified. How could this boy!!!
He had been dreading for the past two months for the arrival of the film but his mother had a vague hope that the producers might not release the picture out.
Ravi didn’t say much he just took the money from his mom and walked out to catch the 10.30 pm show.
When the film ended and the lights were switched on, Ravi turned about and gazed at the aperture in the projection room as if everything had vanished. He was delighted to watch the movie. He wanted to see more. He asked his mom if he could watch the evening show and the night. His moms face changed, she said she will only allow him to watch the 10.30 one since he was in 10th and he had lot to study.
One of the guy working in the movie place was very curious and eager to know, why this guy comes to watch the same movie everyday, he started thinking doesn’t he get bored??
Next day he waited impatiently to ask Ravi if he showed up. As expected he came to catch the 10.30 show.
Excuse me sir, if you don’t mind I have been noticing you for the past 2 weeks, just wondering why you watch this movie everyday, no matter how good the movie is why would you want to waste this much money and watch it.
For which Ravi exclaimed, the actor in the movie, Mr.srinivas is my father. He passed away 8 months ago in a car accident and this is his first movie.
The guy couldn’t say more, his heart felt heavy. He tried to smile at Ravi and cheer him up. Ravi just walked in to movie theatre and disappeared in the dark. Today was his last day, the movie was big flop so they are taking it out.
But this time he couldn’t watch the movie, he felt deserted, something missing, tears rolled down his eyes when his dad came on the screen and yelled at Kumari (character in the movie), “Kumari go do your homework, you have to become a great doctor and serve your people”. These were the exact words his father told him in the deathbed.
He couldn’t stand even a minute; he stood up swiftly and walked out thinking…Last day to see my father alive.
