Love and Hate- Tag

Tagged by Anu and Raja (i am sorry i took almost a month to complete this :) )

Love and hate almost like two opposite things but one is not possible without the other.
We may love something so much that eventually it can turn into hate. Love turns into hate and hate into love then there is no difference left.

I Love:
My LIFE. I am very content with what I am and where I am. Small hassles and complains are part of everyone’s life. But without those things life would be bland.

I hate:
Fate
Poverty
Politics
Racism
Caste system
Insecurity
Helplessness
Arrogance and etc etc etc

Embarrassment at its peak

I was in the bus today when my friend called. Not a close friend…just know him through my other friends
I looked at the number and ignored his call.
Avan mokkai thaanga mudiyathu…athuvum morning time la thevaya n…I just ignored
it…
apparam he called again…and I made a weird face and put it in silent mode.

He called again….oh god appdi n ignore pannitu…I turned back and he was standing behind me.

No more explanation after this………………………

*********************************************************************************************************

I was walking down the hallway to go to my class…there were two guys standing and looking at me fiercely. They looked north Indian.

I don’t think they knew that I can understand hindi…
So as I was passing by, one of the guy looked at me and said “yehi hai vo ladki” (iva than andha ponnu)

Intha maari sonna nan ennanu ninaikrathu??

I was telling my mom and sister that some guys were planning to kidnap me. They were laughing soo hard and my sister almost fell of her chair.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked one of my friend "Is the movie "I am legend" scary?? cuz i dont want to watch it alone...so i am gonna go with my friend".

This is what he mailed me...

There have been cases of mutation simple by watching this movie. Watching the movie stimulates a sort of fear that triggers an enzyme and to counter that enzyme another is produced all within the lower part of pituitary. This counter enzyme affects one part of the DNA strand that completely replicates on further mitosis of the cell along with the anomalistic DNA. This DNA has a tendency to also hasten cell reproduction and to accelerate cellular respiration. This anomaly also increases ATP production and metabolism. The net result is mutation. This totally will make you a sort of ghost!

But the good news is it affects only 1% of the population and target DNA mutation is enhanced (acts as a catalyst) by estrogen.

So take a chance and watch this movie!

Extraterrestrial species

Enough of my posts against men and enough of my feminism.

I do like something’s about men ...more like I find them cute and adorable; I know it’s as hard as picking a needle from a hay stack ;)

So here goes the list again ...

Men are very imaginative; I am not saying women are not. But most of the scientists and explorers are men.

They sacrifice themselves for their family.

Some men can be very good listeners. (Well they have no other choice ..they have to listen to our non-stop chatter: P )

They have such a good sense of humor. ( if it were'nt for some of my friends...i would be depressed half of my life)

Some of them are philosophical which really amuses me. I really admire how they think everything in a different aspect.

Men provide great security and stability.

They are very courageous and heroic ( I love that)

They are physically strong. (This helps me while opening a bottle of water or opening a can, lifting heavy objects ;) )

Most of the men are very romantic *sigh* (roses, candle light dinner, movies…but I like none of those, will tell my list sometime later :P)

Lot of them don’t take much time to get ready..hehe

I really like when they have vibbuthi/thirunoor in their forehead or the sacred thread in their hand and I really admire when they take their mom for shopping (clothes shopping not grocery).

Hmmmmm and my list goes on…Are all the guys happy now?? ;)

Curiosity and me

Curiosity is very common to all of us in all age’s …infancy to old age…
But my curiosity level went a bit over board when I was little : )

I don’t think you guys want to know what I did when I was between the ages of 2-9…but I will tell you anyways… just because I like to annoy you all ;)

I have done awful lot of things; will share some of the best ones.

- Chewed cockroach and other different kinds of bugs
- ate red chillies and burnt my tongue
- bit the thermometer (my parents got scared that I must have consumed the mercury in it and rushed me to the hospital)
- tried skating on wet floor, fell and got 6 stitches on my head.
- Jumped in the swimming pool when I had no idea how to swim.
- drank wine from the refrigerator that my dad’s friend brought from Goa.
- went and sat in a different class for almost 2 months cuz I thought that teacher was more interesting than mine.

Probably I did a lot more stupider things, but I only remember these from repeated discussion of my family members.

Well as I grew old, my curiosity didn’t seem to end.
I wanted to try more and more things…

Damn I can’t believe I am revealing my secrets: P
Ok here we go…

I tried smoking… I took 1 puff coughed and threw that thing 5 m away, never touched it after that. (How do u guys do that??? ;) )

I tried drinking; I was inquisitive how each thing tastes so I took one sip from each bottle that was present there. Please don’t ask what happened to me after that.

I went to a make-up class, learnt how to do bridal make-up and couple of crazy hairstyles. I just like experimenting it my sister and friends. Never on my face J

I leant music for 7 years

I went to a painting class.

NO NO..i wont try sheesha or pot :P

My parents thought I had ADD (attention deficit disorder) cuz I can’t do a certain thing for a long period of time. Gladly I don’t.
A good example of this would be my education. I joined in biological science, then switched to health science in second year then chose a different major in third and finally I am graduating now with a mixture of courses. And my masters next year is going to be a totally different trial but of course in the same medical field. If you ever happen to look at my courses it would have all the basic medical courses I need but my electives would be way off. From legal studies to astronomy from arts and foundation to computer science.

Sometimes curiosity can help conquer and explore new things in life.
Now, please tell me that there is someone out there like me, so I don’t feel left out :)

Any of you curious people who want to share some of your life experiences????? : )

Coming next week my blog is celebrating its 2nd birthday. Arent you guys glad i stayed here for this long.

I have my final exams next week so will be off for a while. wish me GOOD LUCK :)

For You AF

One of my patients passed away yesterday and there have been 4 deaths in my ward so far this month. And I am bit worried about the way I am dealing with it.
How long can I hold my emotions inside? I guess this is an end to it. I can’t handle it anymore.

I guess this would be the first time I am talking about one of my patients. She was a wonderful lady full of enthusiasm and energy. Every day she would try to trick someone passing by to give her water. She was on hydration restriction ...not supposed to consume more than 450 ml of water per day. She had edema and has suffered a lot from her two back operations. Apart from all that she always had a big smile in her face for everyone. Everyday I learn something new from her.

I walked into her room today and somehowi could feel her presence. Her voice was echoing in my mind…her bed, her wheel chair, her walker everything talked in its own language to me.

I know that death is the natural end of things and we cannot turn the tide indefinitely but I also know that I am only a human being and no matter how hard my professor’s pound on me for acting professional I always fail in this situation.

I wasn’t there when she passed away, but when I left her last week she held my hands and told me “thanks you for everything” and I hugged her and said “soon everything will be ok”
I guess everything is ok now; she doesn’t have to suffer anymore.
I will miss you AF

Stranger

My day was incomplete, something was bothering me. I threw away all my anger and discomfort and started walking as the cold wind was blowing across my face. My face turned pale and my lips were dry. My eyes were becoming watery; I couldn’t see what was coming in front of me. Suddenly I stepped on something big, tripped and fell over my knees. Ouch came out my husking voice. I was trying to get up but something stopped me down. My foot was sprained.

As I was trying to make an attempt to get up someone held my shoulders and helped me stand up. I looked into his eyes first, something very familiar. I glared back at his face and said thank you. He smiled and gave a no problem reply and walked by. I tried to make one more step ahead as my knees were shaking and I was about to fall one more time over my face when he grabbed my hand swiftly and walked me back to my house.
We didn’t talk anything while walking together. The way he held my arms and hand made me uncomfortable. Uncomfortable in a sense no one has ever held me in a more caring and compassionate way.
I opened my apartment door and he slowly made way into the room …made me sit on my couch. I was still unable to talk anything. He looked around my room and said nice paintings. “Thanks” I said. I wanted to offer him something to eat but if I try to get up this time I would fall on my hard concrete and nothing would be more embarrassing than that. I just sat there looking at him, his hair, his eyes, and his smile with those dimples. Who is he, my mind wandered?
He looked at me one more time and grabbed the phone from my table and placed it my hands. He looked around again and said “so shall I make my way?”
I wanted to yell out loud and say “please stay for some more time”. Can’t you see in my eyes that I am lonely? All alone in this unknown land, by the time I looked up to see him he was gone. I wouldn’t dare get up to catch him so I just lay in my couch thinking about this stranger who had brought some light in my dark life, only wishing to see him again.

Today, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he/she sees all day.

Why?

Why do men continually offer solutions and give advice?

Why do men keep flicking through the channels with the remote control?

Why wont men stop and ask for directions?

Why do men insist on leaving the toilet seat up?

Why do men make such a fuss about going shopping?

Why do men have such disgusting personal habits?

Why do men love gross jokes?

Why? Why? Why?
To all my handsome men out there...pick the best that suits you and answer..:D

Caution: This post is totally about SURYA ;)
Warning: For all the guys who are fed up of my Surya posts

I watched VEL today: D
Please don’t ask me about the story cuz I hardly remember anything…
But please ask me how surya was…aahhhh
Do I need to say anything…oh man
Why he is sooo cute??…I was just lost in my own world…

The theatre was packed and we only got to sit in the front row…I didn’t notice any neck pain until I left the theatre :)
For each and every scene I was telling my friend “damn he is soo cute”…” damn he soo hot”…
Some guy sitting at the back of me commented “paarthu paarthu…jollu la seat la nannanjida pothu” grrrr

I found Vel more hot and manly than Vasu… he had this look in his eyes that can blow any girls heart…

I already booked my ticket for this coming Saturdays show…and going to book one for next week Sunday. :D :D :D

Diwali dhamaka

I ran down with my bag full of crackers and knocked on my friend’s door.
Hey Charu “come lets go, before the boys come down”.
“ya coming di”
We both sped through the stairs with our beautiful lehanga flowing around.
“hey Charu why don’t you go get aishu and I will go look for chitra”
“sure di”
We both split to find the rest our gangs and on my way back to the main gate
“hey kavi”
I turned around it was Satish
“Oh damn, not him again….Huh hey Satish happy Diwali”
“Happy diwali di.. you looking pretty in your new dress”
“Thanks da I got to run now…bye bye”

It was 6.30pm I could see the sun sinking welcoming a brand new night for us to enjoy.
The boys were not down yet…
We got exited and went near the main gate and kept a 1000 wala.
Hey you go light it…no way di..
Hey charu you go…huh
Fine give it to me…I will do it..

Soon the whole building looked out from their window and balcony. We four stood there as though we accomplished something big.
I saw the boys come running down and we looked at each other gave them a look of achievement.

Little did I know that it was my last Diwali that I got to celebrate.
Its been 7 years since I held a small cracker in my hand.

Happy Diwali to everyone
Burst a few extra crackers on behalf of me : )

We never know what we are missing in life unless its snatched away from us.

Why are Indian men so conservative?

You go to a party and expect the girl to shake her hips and dance for the maniac songs playing…you don’t mind if she takes one or two puffs…drinking is absolutely no problem in fact you cheer them up saying ” wow this is the first time I have seen a girl chug down a whole beer bottle”

So what happens when its time for marriage?
Virgin -of course
Boyfriends- No No
Religious-yes
Smoking – No way
Drinking- please leave my house

If you don’t do certain things and expect the same with your better half that’s understandable…
But if that’s not the case…shove it

Bunch of hypocrites

Flames of love

I saw her when my life was in destruction
Her shawl touched my skin with the help of the breeze
I felt something inside my body,
Feelings unknown, alien kind…
She threw a disgusted look, I did not know why?
Moments passed…
I figured it was my cigar that I was breathing in between my lips.
I waited for her the next day but she disappointed me
Dejected I lighted a cigarette and was about to put in my mouth when she walked by
I hurriedly threw the smoke away but it wasn’t quick enough
Unfortunately she got a glimpse of it.
She smiled unknowingly and walked away
I stood there feeling contended and enchanted.

My secret crush

I could smell the fresh jasmine as I stood in my balcony gazing at the clear sky. I heard the birds chirping from the tree close by, couple of aunties gossiping and taking a walk.

Suddenly a bike passed by disturbing the quite environment. It was a guy and he started to park his bike in my parking place.
Hello” I yelled on top of my lungs from the 2nd floor.
You are parking on my spot
He looked up abruptly and uttered “oh I am sorry, I didn’t know that “saying so he smiled.
My heart was beating fast; his eyes sparkled more than the pulsating rays of the sun, he brushed his hair making way for me to see a small white streak in his forehead.

He held on to his bike and moved it to the opposite side and looked up and said “hope this one is not your parking place madam”.
I giggled “that’s not mine, it’s my brother’s, but I give you permission to park there”.
He smiled and walked away.
My heart skipped a beat this time; I opened the door and ran outside to the other side of my building to see where he was going. He went into the B block.
Whose house is he going to? My mind wandered

I heard my mom’s voice from my house “Neeru go and give these sweets to Sarita aunty”
Ohh mom, not again” I don’t want to walk all the way to B-block.
My mom has this really sad and innocent face which cant quite accept refusals.
Hmm fine, give it

I slowly Climbed the stairs thinking about the “bike guy” and knocked on sarita aunty’s door...and to my surprise he opened the door…

Huh hello…Sarita aunty?
he sheepishly smiled and said “I got scared that your telling me to move my bike again
hehe…I think I was blushing and thank god he didn’t notice that.
Just a minute” he said and walked in

Aunty came out with her wide smile and greeted me inside.
I walked in handed over the sweets to her and walked out within no minute.
As I was running down the stairs his smile kept flashing in my mind. So he is Raghu’s friend I thought with a contented expression.

I saw him the following week, he looked up but to his dismay I was looking at all this from my bedroom. He saw me staring at him and gave a look that dissolved my heart.
He parked his bike in my brothers’ spot and went to Raghu’s house.

I watched him from my bedroom every week and smiled at myself for acting so strange.
I was so desperate to talk to him.

The day finally came when I had the perfect opportunity to talk to him. He drove into the apartment and found his usual parking spot occupied. Surprisingly my brother had come home early that day. He was just about to park it in my spot when I drove in. He saw me and smiled and said “Have you rented the spot to someone else?”

I smiled and said “umm that’s my brothers’ bike. But you can park it right beside mine.

I was confident that I had impressed him. I turned to leave when he stopped me. I knew he was curious to know about me, but he didn’t ask me anything.
Thoughts about him were haunting me that night. I thought to myself that maybe someday one of us will have the courage to speak up. Yet I like this feeling of silence.
Some of the greatest feelings in life are better unsaid.

My secret crush indeed!

Once upon a time

Once upon a time there was a girl
Who believed in everything

A girl
whose sadness used to sadden everyone else around her

A girl
whose life just seemed picture perfect

A girl
Who thought life would be incomplete without someone

A girl
Who believed there was a prince for her.

A girl
Who couldn’t deal with reality

A girl
Who wanted to write everything straight from her heart

But not any more.
Now she is a woman...

The history of all times and of today especially, teaches that ... women will be forgotten if they forget to think about themselves.
